7 trophies are still up for grabs as the 2023 season enters its final week..
Monday September 4th - Women Division 2
Squad play Capital Punishment in Women's Division 2 with the winners guaranteed to lift the trophy. If the game ends in a tie then then Capital Punishment will be the champions.
Monday September 4th- Women Over 45 Division 2
A second title will be decided on Monday evening in the Women Over 45 Division 2. Senior Strikers will be champions if they beat Phat Chicks. If they fail to win then Tailgators can over take them for the championship with a win against Jaguars. If Tailgators tie their game then they will still be champions if Senior Strikers lose their game.
Tuesday September 5th- Men Division 1
Defending champions GDMS Gunners looked to have this years trophy in the bag in early August but poor form has allowed the Reds back in the race for this years championship. The Reds made up a 7 point deficit in the last 3 games as they took maximum points while The Gunners only picked up 2. They meet at Richcraft at 6:30pm in the championship decider. The Reds need to win the game as they have a slightly inferior goal difference. A tie will be enough for the Gunners to retain the championship.
Tuesday September 5th - Presidents Cup Final
Lynwood Lightning take on Bird Squad FC in this years Presidents Cup Final (Richcraft 8:15pm). Lynwood, who won the cup last year, will start as favorites as they won both league match between the teams (3-0 and 3-1).
Thursday September 7th - Men Division 3.
Lynwood Lightning and Syntronic Stjarnor will decide the 3rd Division championship on Thursday evening. Going into the final round of games both teams are tied on 34 points with an identical 11-1-1 (W-T-L) record. Lightening have the slightest advantage with a +60 goal difference to +59 for Stjarnor. In the final game Lynwood take on Red Guard FC and Syntronic take on Kinaxis Kodiax.
Thursday September 7th - Men Division 4.
EY Beams hold a 1 point advantage over Jubentus FC for the Division 4 championship. A win for EY Beams over 3rd place Rajdhani Rhinos will give them the title but if they fail to win then Jubentus FC can win the championship with a win over 5th placed Skyworks Skyblues.
Thursday September 7th - Challenge Cup
The 2023 season concludes with the Challenge Cup Final between GDMS Gunners and Warren FC at Richcraft at 7:15pm. Warren, who earlier this season won the Division 2 title are appearing in their first cup final, wehere as the Gunners won the trophy last year.
